During a visit to a sawmill, I discovered wood sections called "avivés » - these are long pieces of solid wood with variable sections reaching lengths of 2 to 3 meters. Easier to work with than rough-sawn timber, avivés are already planed, which facilitates machining and reduces production time.This discovery inspired the creation of a series of three benches, each designed with a common principle: using a single section of wood per bench.

Each section is worked to achieve a specific thickness, angle, or profile, shaped using a spindle moulder. Once the profile is completed, the section is cut, beveled, and then assembled.
